Estrogen Level too high (170pg/mL); How much more a-dex should I take?

    My stats:
    5'8"
    165lb
    15% bf
    35 y/o

I started my 2nd cycle 3 weeks ago. My cycle consists of 500mg/wk test E, 200mg/wk NPP, 20mg/day D-bol, and 250 i.u hCG . Until now I was taking 0.25mg A-dex EOD. However, I sensed that my estrogen levels may be high because I was exhibiting slight gyno (nips started bulging out a bit and were sensitive) so I got blood work done to see where I am at. My results came back and sure enough my Estradiol level is 171 pg/mL, which is way above the 7.6 - 42.6 pg/mL "normal" range. (On a side note my test level was 1400, which I thought was rather low?)

Anyhow, clearly I need to increase the amount of a-dex I'm taking but as a rough guess how much should I bump it up by?

As a little bit of background for my 1st cycle I simply did 400mg/wk of test E and used 0.20mg/day Aromasin for the first 8 weeks of my 12 week cycle. During that time I never got gyno but then for weeks 9 - 12 I switched to 0.20 mg/EOD A-dex (ran out of the Aromasin) and sure enough I started exhibiting very slight gyno. By then my cycle was over though so it wasn't a problem. It just seems like a-dex isn't for me or I really need to amp up the dosage.

To clarify I am taking 500 i.u. hCG /week. Also for my 1st cycle that should read 20mg/day Aromasin and not .20mg.

Long esters take longer to ramp up. Rule of thumb for me is 5 half-lives to equilibrium. Semi-wasted blood work taking it at week 3 on Test-E.

Puffy sensitive nips are not gyno. That is indicative of a hormone level change.

Thanks for the feedback. I know mid-cycle bloodwork for a long ester cycle like Test E should be done around week 7 but I decided to do some very basic bloodwork now (in addition to what I get done at week 7) because I sensed my E2 levels may be high. (Nipple sensitivity and puffiness was something I encountered early on during my first cycle.) Lo and behold my E2 levels are at 170 pg/mL, which is four times greater than the high end of the recommended range. As you pointed out my test serum levels will only continue to ramp up during the coming weeks and so if I keep my AI dosage the same I can only surmise that my E2 levels will go up even more.

I know I've got to increase my a-dex dosage but I'm wondering by how much. If anyone has experience getting E2 numbers like this before how much more a-dex should I be taking? I've already bumped it up to 0.40mg/eod but wondering if I should be going higher like 0.50.

You can go. 50 eod. Keep an eye on the nips ( try not to play with them). If you feel lumps the it sounds like a course of Nov should be put in place so if you don't have any think ahead and get it.....always good to have on hand.

Thanks Brown. I started taking 40mg/day Nov several days ago (will drop down to 20mg/day after a week) just to be on the safe side. Last thing I want is to deal with gyno surgery.

Yup solid advice. Run you dex at .5 eod and the tamox at 20mg/day right up to and through your pct.
