Is this an ABSCESS? (photo included)
I'm probably being over cautious, but yesterday I injected 2ml of Test, with an 1.5in, 25g needle in my right glute. It went in smooth and I aspirated, all good at that point. But as I removed the needle, blood shot out. Lots of blood. More than I've ever experienced. I obviously nicked a vein. This morning, I woke up with pain and redness around the injection area (see picture). However, I do not have a fever and the redness doesn't appear to be spreading anymore. Is this the beginning of an abscess or just bruising from hitting the vein? Any advice/thoughts/experience would be much appreciated.
Thanks, in advance, for the help!

It looks more like a bruise from the pic. Is it hot/warm to the touch ? Keep a close eye on it if it get's bigger or worse and you get a fever go to the doc.
Was everything sterile ?

Looks like a bruise to me. As was asked is the area hot? Do you have a fever? Clarky gave you solid advice above.

Does not look like an abcess. Abcess's are infections and puss under the skin. An effective way to tell if your abcess is getting worse is to trace the redness with a sharpie. If it spreads past the sharpie line it's getting worse.
This does not appear to be swollen, hot and red like the typical abcess. Looks like you might have hit s nerve possibly, or a blood vessel. Good luck and keep us posted amigo.

this is what my shoulder looked like from my first pin when I injected too much too quickly. I think you'll be fine but keep an eye out for what the others have told you

you have punctured a vein- blood has released into the surrounding tissue and given you what resembles a bruise
you should be fine in a few dys.

No, believe it or not I did that on my jetski. I was playing in some waves and dove the nose down just right and it was like hitting a brick wall and stopped. My leg slammed into the end of the steering handle hard. I knew it was going to bruise so I started taking pictures as soon as I got back.
It cleared up in a few days but not before making it down to my ankle.
