Research supporting positive effects of anabolic steroids on the CNS and brain.
Has anyone come across links to research supporting the therapeutic effects of anabolic steroids on the CNS and brain?
For example,
Testosterone-mediated neuroprotection through the androgen receptor in human primary neurons
Neuroprotective role of testosterone in the nervous system
Endocrinology article (2010) on Testosterone , BDNF, "Androgens also exhibit a wide array of neuroprotective and neurotherapeutic effects in motoneurons, including supporting cell survival, axonal regeneration, and dendritic maintenance "
19-nor-based steroids like Nandrolone increase progestin levels, and progesterone also has neuroprotective effects.
Does a discussion about anabolic steroids ' effects on the CNS/brain interest anyone else?Last edited by anabolicsqa; 05-07-2015 at 03:12 AM. Reason: 19-nor(Nandrolone), progestins
