Doc is making me stop testosterone therapy - advice please!
My doc had given me shots and pellets for 5 years and I look amd feel great. Apparently, the FDA is asking him to bloodtest patients twice per year to prove we 'need' testosterone . My doc wants me to stop my injections for 1 month and let my testosterone plummet, thus proving to the FDA (if they ask) that I need the injections.
I don't want to go back to how I used to feel - puny and tired. I want to keep building as much muscle as possible but don't know what to do.
Any advice would be appreciated.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard? Even if you initially did not have a need for TRT after being on for 5 years your levels are going to be in the toilet regardless after only stopping for a month.

Thats what I said too. I'm going to be in the gutter after this month. I live in Atlanta and need to find alternate anabolic sources. Just need to get steered in the right direction. Not from here and don't know a lot of folks...

No only testosterone will do that.

I would ask the doctor to falsify some results and not give up my hard earned muscle just for some silly politics! Tell the doctor to realize the implications of what he is doing and tell a white lie!

Weird, I have had no problems like this except with my insurance provider. My Dr. requires labs every 3-6 months, Generally, 6 months if no changes have been made in the protocol. Maybe post the in the TRT forum for more responses?
.Hormone Replacement Therapy - Low Testosterone Treatment, Anti-Aging
....and maybe contact LowT.com since you are close to Atlanta, Ga. I think they have a clinic in that area.

I did a quick Google search and didn't see any mandates from the FDA on this matter, but I just did a quick look.Last edited by almostgone; 08-08-2015 at 07:55 AM.

Good question and i asked the same one. The office manager claims that those results are too old. I'm afraid if I go to another TRT Doc in Atlanta, he's going to say my levels are "too high." Of course they are. I do a depo every week. I don't know what to do but feeling like shit for 3 months every year as part of some plan doesn't sound right to me.
