    Thyroid question

Have some symptoms for a year or so. Weight gain while on diet and excersice. Blood pressure elevated and heart is in perfect condition. I did a metabolic testing on my own. My total t was 659 while free test was low on the range. Don’t think that is the cause of my symptoms. My tsh was 1.6 which was in range but low however my reverse 3t was 30 which was 6 points above the high. Has anyone had some symptoms such as these with similar blood work.

In my opinion, you should visit a good endocrinologist. If you stabilize thyroid hormones sometimes testosterone levels should go up by itself. Of course a treatment should be easier if you haven't previously messed up your system with drugs or other medications.

Those symptoms 80% of Western society have it. Ussualy related to diet and stress.

You don't want high TSH. Free T3 and T4 guessing they were normal, so you shouldn't have any thyroid problem.

Increased rT3 means the T3 hormone is being inactivated. This is usually the result of prolonged dieting (calorie deficit, especially carbs) and/or nutritional deficits, especially Iron.

Low free T might point to high SHBG which also can be correlated to dieting.

Yes, agreed. Like I said diet, prefer not going into diet details.
