    Injection Pain

    Hello Everyone,

I am entering week 7 of a test E cycle. I am doing biweekly injections of 1.2 ml (300mg) of Test E twice a week. I am using 1.5 inch 23 gauge needles to inject this into my right glute, since I am not ambidextrous I have trouble injecting into my left glute so I have been doing it on my right side. 12 injections across 6 weeks and no issues or pain, they were incredibly painless. However, this past Tuesday night I did the 12th injection into my right glute and felt fine still. However by Friday (3 days later) I felt a soreness and pain in my right glute that increased today. Is this normal is it bruised or should I be concerned about an infection or abscess? I am extremely surgically sterile with doing these injections. Is this just from pinning the same injection site too many times? Today I was able to inject my left side since my right hurt so much.

It sounds like you've just over used the right area. The issue is the more that area gets used without chance to heal the higher the risk of infection and scar tissue buildup. What you should do in the mean time is take a NSAID) such a ibprufen to help with pain and swelling unless your doctor has said you can't take said medication. Other then that keep an eye out for the site to become shinny, red and hot to the touch. Also if you get flu like symptoms and a fever see the doctor. But yh you should definitely alternate injection sites.
