Few questions for my first cycle... Little to no weight gain

New member here but had more specific questions than just posting "hello" in new member page....

So im on like week 8 however, i started my cycle doing test400 with decca/cyp mix. Buddy gave me two bottles (one from his old supplier and one from our other mutual friends supplier). So first shot from the bottle from his guy goes wrong. I dont know if it was bad stuff or if it was because i accidentally moved while i was getting my more experienced friend to do shot for me and my leg flexed mid shot to quad. I was told a bit of pain for first few shots is normal so i toughed it out, looking back with what i know and have learned now im pretty sure it was an infection. Right quad got red with a bit of heat and swelling and took a good 3 weeks at least to fully recover. Once i recovered i noticed the muscle was different there, was ball or lack thereof, im not sure, but fairly certain was remains of abcess. I feel like i should have gone in to get it drained, but i toughed it out and recovered on my own and am fine now thankfully.

Needless to say i scrapped that bottle and started using the other one from medistar labs which seem to work fine with almost no pain, however, nearing end of that bottle i lost supply of T400 and had to choose either purely enthanate or cypionate . Im currently on second bottle of cyp 250 twice a week. I was told since cyp was already in the t400 i started on that it would be fine to switch to just cyp, but id like to hear what you guys have to say about that. Since ive learned and become confident doing the shots myself ive had no problems.

Near beginning of cycle i was noticing a difference in my muscles while inwas working out however since i switched its hard to tell, i dont feel much different that when i normally go hard in the gym. Ive been working 7 days a week 11 hr days in camp last few weeks, eating tons of food, but after two weeks being in camp eating like this i went home and weighed myself expecting to finally start seeing some gains but actually lost 5 lbs. Even near the start i was having a hard time getting to 180 and i started at 173lbs. Im currently back down to 175lbs...

Does it just take a really long time? Is this just sugar water im injecting?

Lastly, ive been concerned last few years of parasite problem, but have had a really hard time narrowing it down as the doctors here westcoast canada are retarded, and know next to nothing about parasites or how to diagnose them.... Their "test" that they swear by after researching have a very small chance of actually finding anything in best case senario... Im wondering if i could possibly have a tapeworm, if anyone here has experience with this issue because i wonder if the steroids could react with such an issue and make it worse?

Mabey im just doing something completely wrong or missing something. Ive heard all this talk that your first cycle should be just amazing but i am not getting that experience. I feel like i have bit more lean muscle, and am in bit better shape but that could easily be from consistently working out.

It should also be noted a few years ago i was diagnosed with low testosterone during very stressful time in my life, but got back over normal levels naturally without anything, but mabey thats an indication that this cycle is just .... Making me normal?

The most likely culprit is not enough calories and maybe too much physical work.

Post your stats (age,ht,wt,bf%), diet, and workout split.

    Age: 34
    Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 175 lbs
BF%: Not completely sure never officially tested, im guessing under 10% pretty lean, can see six-pak with minor luv handles on sides.

I try for 5 days a week workout.
    Day:
    1- chest
    2- back
    3- legs
    4- shoulders
    5- arms

When not working I run for 10 min at end of each workout, and usually do an ab workout at home on weekend. I try to stay away from sugar, but its hard to avoid startches, try to stay away from canola oil(fast food crap) too. Since ive been working i eat eggs, sausages, bacon, hashbrowns for breakfest. Sandwich and yogurt and banana first coffee, soup and sandwich an couple other snacks at lunch, and same on laast coffee as first, and decent size dinner with lots of meat and veggies.

When I do brosplits (which is rarely), I switch the (chest and back) so (back and legs) are not on consecutive days. Back day contains deadlift for me, which uses a lot of the same muscles needed for leg day.
You're problem sounds like your diet. It seems like you're doing a lot of speculating about what your diet is and should be. Ask any vet (with a couple rare exceptions that come to mind, but they're freaks) on this board what they usually eat and they can tell you their TDEE, the total calories they eat in a day, and all the macros. Once you start tracking all those, I bet you're not hitting your macros and calories.

-It doesn't sound like your test is good. You could get a blood test.
-If you do have a tapeworm, it would not be effected by the test. The the test is in the bloodstream and a tapeworm lives in GI tract. Not trying to be funny but maybe a vet could do a fecal sample test.
-Your workout is not to blame for your lack of growth but you could increase the frequency while your on test, hitting muscles 2-3 times a week.

I have considered hitting same muscle group 2-3 times a week, problem while im Working is regular workouts are hard enough when my hands and forearms are already cramping up from work ....

I dont understand why holdmybeer suggest im speculating about diet when i literally listed exactly what im eating.... I dont know how one would possibly track exact numbers from a plate full of food thats served up for you from a camp kitchen or pre packaged food with no labels except "ham and cheese" ....

I never got into exact numbers with food because that requires a ton of time which i dont have much of working full time with a family.... My 2 hrs a day i put aside for gym (usually 40min is travel/prep time so just over an hr actually lifting) already has my wife jelous as its time she definately doesnt get.

One would think simply eating tonnes of food and staying away from crap would do the trick... I should however just start pounding back the protein shakes... I was under impression when i started that the juice would MAKE me want to eat more and just listening to my body would be good. I dont want to get fat i want to gain lean muscle. Thank you guys for replies so far tho is definately making me think.

Edit: My buddy said he never gained much weight off cyp either just lost fat and gained more lean muscle, and suggested i increase does to 3 shots per week, but im going to wait till i can get an AI before increasing it.... Been having a hard time, ordered some a month ago but hasnt come, i dont know if guy my friend oredered from screwed up or becuase of all the postal strikes going on but it sucks.

As far as tapeworm goes they have been pulled out of everywhere, including peoples brains. And the larva travel through the bloodstreem to move around the body often causing cyst wherever they land which i have got a few over last few years. Doctors just say "its normal dont worry about it" they dont want to touch em unless they are posing a threat (the cyst) Im more concerned of possibly having one in the lower throat whatever the technical name for that is, as my upper chest around top of ... Ugh brains fried... Those first big bones as u follow throat down ... Is always red and i often have difficulty swallowing food without water or wetting throat first. I also have medium lvl asthma if that makes a difference.

Your problem is your nutrition, not the drugs.

You will never convince people here that you don't have time to organize nutrition and prepare in advance when members on this board own a business, have a significant other, kids, pets, work 40+ hours per week, AND still have optimized nutrition while keeping everyone around them happy. 2 or 3 hours once per week to prep for the next 7 days is about 2% of your available time.

Not enough time is simply not a valid excuse nor is just eating a bunch of food and staying away from "crap". Pounding a bunch of processed protein shakes isn't really going to fix your solution either. Your current eating schedule is 3/10 at best from a bodybuilding perspective.

Injections and overtraining don't offset a bad meal program.. You don't need to increase your dose, you need to fix your diet or not use steroids , simple as that. If you aren't willing to make sacrifices or adjustments to improve nutrition then using steroids is going to be a waste of time and you will not get anything out of it, just like you are experiencing right now.

Good job making it to the gym, can't be easy with all that responsibility. If you really simplify your diet down to basic almost boring ingredients, tracking them will take almost no time. Meat source, a clean carb, some oil or fat, leafy greens. Modest calorie surplus

Thanks Stalker, thats more so what I was looking for, i was just caught off guard with "your diet sucks" because when I look at my diet its mostly meat and veggies with a bit of fruit and rice and stuff and didnt know that was sooooo bad....

So essentially i just have to eat wayyyyy more, i could definately add more leafy greens as i tend towards things like broccoli and beans and those sort of veggies. Im stuffing my face as much as i can eating non stop every break now with big breakfest and dinner, mabey ill try eating a bit after dinner right before bed too. I have noticed my recovery is way better than before and sex is definately better so it must be working a bit. When i get some time off ill have to go somewhere get my actual body fat calculated and crunch some calorie numbers. Id get bloodwork and stuff too but been forced to using walkins as my docotor retired recently ...

I was never looking to be professional body builder, ive just always been in shape and been working out (not always full time) since i was 16 and decided nows the time i want to put a solid effort in and put on a good 10 lbs of lean muscle... Get in the shape ive always wanted to be in before i hit 40....

Post up the EXACT numbers of the amount of each item you're eating, i.e. 3 eggs and 4 egg whites, 8oz of grilled chiken, 6oz lean beef, 1 cup of brown rice....etc etc. DIET is your problem, even off of steroids with a proper diet you should see muscle gain in a month.

It just baffles me that not a single other person i know has had to crunch exact numbers like that to get results.... They just....eat. Always thought that was a min/maxing thing for pros, didnt think it was neccessary to see any result, i still feel like there may be another health issue at work here. Oh well time will tell.

Medistar went downhill years ago. I wouldn’t use them personally. I had some weak gear from them the last run fortunately I didn’t buy much. They were my go to for a couple years. I’d suggest a new source.
