    Question Numbing Cream?

I came across something like this on Amazon today

    https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/F...C-CEA94E851C7C

Apparently people apply the numbing cream before wiping the area with alcohol swabs for easy injection?

Anyone using this or something similar?

Lidocaine numbs the surface of the skin, maybe up to a few mm from the surface. If that's where you experience most of the pain when injecting, then it might help. I get more pain about 1/4" in, which might be deeper than lidocaine can reach.

Lidocaine probably would stop the tiny bit of "pain" from the needle breaking the skin but...
it will do nothing for PIP.

Does the pricking of the skin hurt much?
What size needle are you injecting with?

If the pricking of the skin is painful like a burn...
You are probably not letting the alcohol dry enough before injecting.

I've injected biceps, triceps, pecs, lats, shoulders, glutes, quads. etc. etc.. not once has the needle breaking the skin and going into the muscle ever 'hurt' . why would you ever need numbing cream?

If you do them correctly and use a quality pin like B-D Precision glide, your injections should be virtually painless.

Lately, I've been doing my injections with backfilled insulin pins. I use 1 ml, half inch needles, 30 gauge. I dont feel anything. I just hope I am getting the test cyp in deep enough to the muscle, or even in the muscle at all.

Does anyone else use half inch needles?

Depends on your injection site - 1/2" is plenty if you're doing shoulders, bicep/tricep quads etc - for glutes i wouldnt use anything less than 1". But it all comes down to BF level.

I’m to the point where I keep nothing around but 1” pins. If I’m in a thinner skin area, I just don’t sink the whole pin (I rarely need to anyway).
Think of it like sex: just because you have 12” to work with, doesn’t mean that you need to use all of it every time. If you’re only working with 4, you’re gonna have to bury it to the hilt every time, and you still might miss what you’re going for in some instances.

Maybe you can apply some to the tip of your poke, so she'll soak your oak and no joke you'll last longer on the power stroke.

I been using slin pins with 1/2 inch needles for years,, for daily injections (still use a 3cc syringe and 25g for front loads though)..
    I'm fairly lean though.

so don't have much doubt it using a 1/2" needle in the delts, pecs, biceps, triceps, etc.. that its getting into the muscle..

if your not very lean and trying to use a 1/2" and pin your glutes or something , that may be a different story

    Nailed it bro.
I have Slin pins - and they're 1/2" and 1/4" - but the use is SubQ only. I havent used them in years lol.
For everything else theres mastercard, sorry, wrong forums, for everything else a 1" pin does it. I wouldnt buy 1/2" pins for IM. As you say, id rather have it and not use it, than need it, and not have it!

I use 30 gauge 1/2” or 3/8” needles for sub q when just doing TRT.

For cycles I use 5/8” 25 G needles 99% of the time. I pin delts 99% of the time. If I pin quads I use the same thing, if I pin glutes, I use the 1” needle.

I load syringes with 22/23 gauge pins.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I am not sure what happened to be honest, I am cruising for almost an year now (had to postpone blast due to Coronovirus). I am only injecting 100mg twice a week, last time when I tried the following happened

    - Injected into my right quad, usually needle slides in like a knife on a cheese cake, but needle was half way in and I could not push it further (it felt like it was pulling something in my leg). Pulled it out.
    - changed the needle did it again, slightly different area, same thing happened. Pulled out
    - changed the needle and put it in again slightly different area, fuck I could not push it in not even half way, pull it out again

Made 3 holes in my legs with blood running out (which is fine)

Then did the forth try, on left quad, fuck me dead I could not get it in.

My needle just slides in and I feel nothing, I have no idea what was happening that day.

Was going to try again in my arse but I got so frustrated and missed the injection (first in 10 months)

I am using 23G 1.125" never had any issues, I usually do my arse and quads,

    Bad day?

I do make sure the alcohol is dried off otherwise it burns like hell, and I am so comfortable with injecting that I could inject with closed eyes.... I am not sure what the heck happened that day... Never happened, I just feel like I had a bad day or something? I don't have injection anxiety though I just couldn't get it in

    (that's not what she said)

Maybe you had some stress or drank too much coffee. That could make your muscles tighten up without realizing it.

Just stick it in!!! It shouldn’t hurt if you do it right, if your experiencing pain then you may need to use a lighter needle!

Sounds like a bad day man, maybe you where a bit off in terms of where you where shooting, anything outside the upper outer part of your quad tends to hurt.

I only shoot with slin needles for quads now... give it a go!

Could also be some underlying scar tissue?

I do have some scared tissues for sure, so I did a shot today and hit right on the nerve hahahhahaha even though I stretch the skin so had to pullout and made a mess on the floor with blood hahhahaha well was not going to miss this dose so changed the needle and put it back in and it went smoothly as it usually does....

Maybe I should change my needles

    Good man.
I recently just picked up another 500 B-D 25g 1”. Seriously, fuck using cheap pins and syringes.
I had some once that were so shit that they couldn’t even pull a vacuum on TestE in MCT, due to the plungers being poorly made.

Would worry, it happens to the best of us dude!!

Definitely look into some better quality pins, as I said I use insulin needles, and have done for the last year. It’s a pain loading the syringe but I’d rather spend 5 mins loading it all up than shoving a fat needle into my leg!!

Yep agree, I just received BD Glide needles and used 25G 1" which actually worked pretty well, it took slightly longer to inject but that's fine, I think I am going to stick with 25G 1" instead of 23G 1.25" which I always used.

Also I changed the drawing needle from 18G to 21G, it takes a bit a sucking but doesn't take long to draw oil in.

It could be the quality of needles too, I am not sure why I didn't use the quality needles before.

I think a lot of people just assume “a hypo is a hypo” because of theoretical manufacturing guidelines for human use. Frankly, I won’t stab myself with anything short of B-D anymore, after seeing how shitty a lot of the cheaper brands are.

As for the smaller gauge, it’s well worth it. The 25g forces you to slow down the injection, and I’ve had precisely zero problems since I started using them exclusively. Also smaller gauge for drawing means less damage to the stopper. This isn’t a huge deal for people that run large doses, but when I’m pulling HRT doses out of a 10ml vial, that rubber would look like a dog chewed on it before it was empty, if I were using something like an 18 for draw.

So true, I was using 18G to draw 100mg per shot so my 10ml lasted forever.

I think initially when I started injecting I was not scared of njections (usually people are) also all my injections just went smoothly all the time without any dramas (rarely any issue) which put me in a mindset where I stopped caring what brand I use and as you said assuming they all follow medical standards.

For 23G, I usually leave the needle in after injecting (for 15 to 20 seconds) to avoid any push backs, knowing that Injected it quite quickly. With 25G the speed control is just amazing thus more pressure on plunger but smooth.
