    Needle size for quads

I got 29 gauge and 1/2 inch. I couldn’t find any 1 inch at the smaller gauges, just at like at a 25 gauge. Is the 1/2 inch too short for quads?

    Why 29 gauge?

you'll be fine w/ 27g or 28g, nice choice for shallow IM had your quads be lean/muscular & injecting small volume. don't know what you'd do with a 29g, however.

Thank you, I had gotten as a temp solution for a week some 29g but they were only .3ml so that made it a pain. Pulling it wasn’t too tough though, I just wanted to make sure 1/2 wasn’t too shallow

You're drawing and pinning with the same needle?

    I'm using 25g 1/2 in quads.

Are you on a real cycle or trt?

Seems like you're here learning as you go and steroids are not a trial and error or figure it out as you go type of situation. Doesn't seem like you did much research before you started this. But you have so many different threads all at once, maybe I'm confused. Lol

I get what you mean. There’s different opinions and some conflicting information from different sources. So as I’m planning stuff out, I’ll remember two different things so I ask the questions for clarity.

For example, I’ve read multiple times, multiple places, to both run AI from the beginning through the end of a cycle, and also to ONLY run it when symptoms start.

I ask the needle question because I’ve read, on this site, both to use 1 inch and 1/2 inch. I wanted to be sure it wasn’t body part specific. I’ve also read about drawing and pinning with separate needles and the benefits of it vs using the same one for both. Different people have different preferences

I think your confusing someone who is overconfident and doesn’t ask a lot of questions with someone like me who asks too many questions because I want to get it right. I think I 95% already know the answer, but I want to be 100% so I search the forums ask the questions I’m still not clear on

Nothing at all wrong with asking as many questions as you need. My point was, if you ARE already cycling, and it seems like you are, you seem to be completely unprepared for a first cycle, and that's not a good place to be.

Trt atm, not a full cycle

Based on a lot of what I’ve read throughout this site, and that my questions are getting answered, I think I’m more prepared for a first cycle than many other were for theirs. I’d rather figure it out now how to prevent something rather than ask later how to fix something

I use 25g 5/8" for my quads but I do have rather lean quads so I think the 5/8" is fine but if you have a beefier quad maybe go for half inch at least.

The only way to be sure is to compare last TRT BW with your next BW after using the 29G 1/2". If you are hitting shallow muscle you should be fine(and if some is getting into subQ, big deal). Also, unless you are pinning daily, or at least EOD, your process must take all day. Trying to get an oil based test into a 29G hole is painfully slow, then you have to get that into a muscle!! I use that exact size. But, I use a 23G to draw then backfill my insulin syringe. And, since I pin daily, only need just shy of the .2 ml mark. If you pin more often with such a small size needle, and use much less volume, you open up smaller muscle groups to be used. Traps, tris, side delts, front delts...... They can easily absorb up to .5 ml per injection. At least on me.
For years I used those 23G 1" for bi weekly glute injections. I am not a fan of needles, and now every time I open a new 23G for drawing, can't imagine I was sticking that harpoon in my ass. Looking at that 29G next to my 23G makes it an easy choice!!
    Good luck.

Never pin with the same needle you drew with, big mistake.

I use 28 gauge 3/4 inch length for delts and quads, the biggest pin I use is 27 gauge. For pins under an inch I always do Z track injections.

What is your injection volume? Under 1mL and you should be fine. You might want to look into "backfilling" syringes. Be sure to keep things as sterile as possible.

Why back load when he can buy luer lock syringes and draw with a 20 and pin with a 28. Many more options out there, never any reason to back load.

I would suggest longer pins. I find going deeper into the quads has less chance of leaving bulges on the quads but I do drop 3cc’s of gear per quad shot lol.
23G 1” with 3cc syringe. This should be fairly easy to get.

    I run up to 3 cc’s into the quads with a 1” 25G.
I’ll run the syringe under hot water for a bit as well and just go slow and steady. Done it for years, occasionally some PIP but warming it helps. Currently have a nice knot in each ass cheek, so then there’s that
Can’t be perfect all the time, find what works for you.
    Lots of options (as recommended)
