latman's advice for newbies and young guys
NO MATTER WHAT, never change your lifestyle for a woman!!
If Bodybuilding is more than just a hobby to you.....if it is a lifestyle, don't change that for anyone
If you choose to juice, and she says "me or the gear".....don't pick the gear over her, just DON'T pick her.
Any woman who asks you to change one thing for her will continue to do so until you have nothing of your self left
January 2003, a little less than a year ago....I was coming off an awesome Fina/winny cycle and was weighing around 225 at 9%. At the same time, I starting dating a girl who liked me "better around 200". So I lost my hard earned gains over the next two months. Then I moved in with her in May and she didn't like any of the food I ate, so out went the tuna and chicken and in came Cheez-its and Little Debbie. She has the metabolism of a track star and eats like a pig, which led to me putting on about 15 pounds of pure fat. I quit the best job I may ever have to move with her when she went to grad school 4 hours away.
Long story short.....She's out, I'm broke and living with my parents, trying to revive my career, lost most but still carrying about 5lbs of that added BF, down about 30lbs in muscle, and starting EVERYTHING in my life from scratch.
Moral of the story: Be you and only change when you feel the need to make one, and do it for you and you alone!!!

So true!!! They are like children you have to teach and educate them in certain areas. Put your foot down from the beginning or you'll be in for a bad ride. Once my gf started raising the topic of me spending too much time in the gym, me eating boring food and speding too much time with the gym friends, I just replied quickly that it was not negotiable and it was a battle she could never win.
But really it's not just the training, it's many aspects of your life they try to control/manipulate. You have to be carefull. My grandfather used to say that women is the animal that can do the most damage to a man.

Excellent post. I am again grateful that my wife is very understanding and participates in the bodybuilding lifestyle with me. It took me a long time to find the right person. Just remember that the right girl is out there. You just have to be lucky enough to realize it when the time is right.

Latman I feel you, I think we all have at some time been through similair situations. Women are evil. Can't trust anything that bleeds for 5 days and doesn't die.
GO AGGIES!! WHOOP!! (sorry bro, had to) F*#@!*& OK.

Yep, very true. Though my experience wasn't as bad as yours, I learned the hard way as well. Learn from others mistakes guys. And of course, this goes for females too. If you have a true dedication for the lifestyle, don't be with someone that doesn't appreciate and respect it.

Here is a quote from an uncle of mine that describes how he feels about women:
" If it weren't for the pink muscle, there would be a hunting season on them."
