uninterrupted sleep
I just started a cycle which consists of 500mg of sustanon 250 and 400 mg of deca per week. So far so good except that my sleep patterns have changed. Instead of getting 8 hours of interrupted sleep, I sleep for about an hour or so and then wake up. I do this constantly. I do admitt that when I do sleep, I usually dream (something I'm not aware of doing normally). Is there anything that you guys do to help promote better sleeping patterns while on a cycle?

try tylenol pm, benedryl 25mg tabs x's 2, melotonin , or see dr if these don't work. it may be the anxiety of 1st cycle that is also causing. (if this is your 1st cycle)--
also, the body has a hard time going to sleep if it doesn't get enough calories (defense mechanism to get food!!) so are you eating enough? try eating something high in protein before bed and get plenty of calories throgh out the day. your on a bulking cycle bro eat eat eat..

I would try Melatonin, I have been on that stuff for a while now and Ive never slept better in my life, I wouldnt use tylenolPM b/c I find it leaves you feeling groggy in the morning.

Try to stay away from over the counter sleep remedies as they tend to screw up the deep REM sleep cycle and you wake up more tired then when you went to bed. Also there is a chinese remedy called Valerian root that works well also. It smells like s**t (literally) but it is a CNS depressent and doesn't screw up you REM sleep.

benzo's are nice too if you can get some...ativan/lorazepam long half life, little effect on rem staging

Actually I wouldn't stress about it much -worrying is probably more of a problem than the sleep issue itself. If you're aware that you're dreaming then you ARE actually "sleeping" -it's REM sleep that really matters in quality sleep. Plus if you're not falling asleep during the day whenever you relax you're not really sleep deprived. You should only be concerned if you find yourself falling asleep during the day when you normally don't -which means you ARE sleep-deprived.
I think test hypes the nervous system a little, so you're probably just more aware of the times when you're in light sleep, between dreaming, than you normally are, so you think of it as being "awake" even though you really aren't, if that makes any sense. Worrying about it is what makes you even more aware of it.
I went through the sleep clinic thing a couple years ago and did a ton of reading on it -there's a huge book called "The Promise of Sleep" that explains a lot of that stuff.

Try not to take any tylenol products and similar derivatives, it's actually not good for your liver. Try natural supplements such as melantonin like what others have suggested. Sleeping pills are nice once in a while, but you can still build up tolerance and dependencies on it. I wouldn't suggest it.
Last but not least, you body will soon adjust to the cycle you're on. I've slept like a pig for 14 hours this past Saturday!!!

I take melatonin and valerian root. It knocks me out more specifically, now I take about 2 mgs melatonin and 450 mg of valerian root. And yeah the **** does smell foul. It even leaves the odor on your hand when you grab the pill but doesn't give bad breath or anyting as long as you swoosh it down. I have a question, does melatonin affect you REM sleep?

Valerian root works well...try taking 2.5g of arginine..2.5g of glutamine..and 500mgs of calcium on an empty stomach before bed..that will enduce some nice REM sleep as well as stimulate release of GH...It also has the same effects of nitric oxide ( viagra) so you may get wood more often while your sleeping. Tryptophan is still hands down a very good natural tranquilizer!

benadryl induced sleep is not "real sleep" although you fall asleep, it prevents your body from maintaining REM and stage 3/4 sleep which is the sleep that actually does a body good. melatonin or valarian root or benzo's are the most reccommended sleep aids. melatonin being on the bottom of that list due to the fact that this medication does NOT actually induce a sleep state. How it works is by resetting the bodies internal cyrcadian rythem. i may have spelled cyrcadian wrong. Anway, your body knows when its time to sleep by this increase level of melatonin and then wake up is melatoin/cortisol regulated. due to this fact many people only find that melatonin works only for a few days..or even takes a few day to start working and stops shortly after....this is due to the resetting of your body's cyrcadian rythem. you cannot reset that which is already reset, so to speak...
rambling done....

ok once again thank s for the melatonin info about it only being temopary, however it doesn't seem to have that effect on me, and I know it may be more placbo according to your info even then so does it induce REM or prohibit it for the sake of argument?
