Pippen is a top 50 all time player, and rightfully so. One of the top 5 defenders ever, and no slouch on offense. Pippen had a great run, but it was definitely time to hang em up. Karl Malone, while not half of what he was a decade ago, was still a very good player in his last year with the Lakers. If he hadn't gotten injured the Lakers would have beaten Detroit that year.

as much as i disliked the bulls pip was a DAMN good defender with his long ass arms he could guard 3 offensive players at once...in hs he was known as the one man press and the other 4 guys were in the frontcourt
