    40yds

    list ur guys top 10 favorite lifts for the 40yd dash:

    my fav not in order:

    1: power clean
    2: power snatch
    3: Spilt jerk
    4:bsq
    5:fsq
    6:1leg squats
    7:jump squats
    8:glutham raises
    9:rdl
    10:speed squats

    it doesnt get any better than those. i really am a plyo man myself but those technically arent lifts. all great lifts to strengthen the posterior chain.

    deads are awesome. core movements. your core is huge in running. roman twists, weighted abs ect ect. hip strength is also key so ab and adductors always can aid in their strength. not too heavy tho.

    have you ever done a weighted box jump with a barbell on ur back.

    nah i have done a 25 pound weight on my chest with my arms crossed on a 42" or 48" inch box but tahst about it.

    LUNGES only thing else to ad to that list. I don't to Oly lifts anymore though, to hard on the old body. Single leg calf rases too, jump rope but i guess thats not really a lift.

    Oh by the way kind of off topic but a while back I posted I had a tough time with my start. Well I've been using the jump start, its fantastic. I'm a lot more explosive in the start. Haven't timed myself lately but I've deffinately noticed the difference in teh first 10yds.
