    diet question

    my fav salad has way to much sugar 11g to be on target. the rest is ok 160cal, 22pro, 16carb,1.5fat is it ok if i still eat it on a cutting diet? new at this

    i am not worried about the cals its the sugar i am worried about. i just dont know how much sugar is ok or if sugar is ok at all you know what i mean

    6am: 4egg whites 1/2 cup oats with tbsp honey

    10am: 1cup raw almonds cottaga cheese

    lunch: my fav salad that has the 11g sugar

    dinner 2 chicken brest asparagus, cucumber

    thats wat i eat

    Oh wow... that is not a lot of food at all...

    What do you weigh?

    It's very possible that the amount of calories you're eating is too low and you're slowing your metabolism down, and losing muscle. I'd add at least 2 more meals... do you drink a post workout shake? Ditch the honey for breakfast, more egg whites at breakfast.

    i am 5'6 230 i dont know what my bf% is but yah i have been at it for about 2 weeks now i havent wieghed myself but i am taking in 1200 calories i think or around there i want to say can you give me any help bro. or tips and no i am not drinking any protien shakes for right now i am just doing cardio 30min am and 30 min pm 4mph at 6incline

    Jesus christ dude you need to eat more... you're probably losing a ton of muscle. Look at the threads at the top of the diet forum. Search google for "BMR calculator" and plug in your numbers to find out your maintenance calories. Subtract 500 from that, and that is what you should eat every day. Are you lifting?

    no i am not lifting ive been more worried about my bf% than muscle is that i am about to graduate from dive school as a diver medic and i dont want to be shut down cause of my size i use to wrestle in high school i am 21yrs old and i am not fat fat my waist size is 38 and my chest is like 51 or 52 i went to the taylors yesterday for a tux but i just want to slim down

    I'd still recommend finding out your BMR.
