    finaly some egg white data

we have so many threads debating the availabilty of protein from raw egg whites compared to cooked, and I was always one who felt raw is just as good if not better (a hell of a lot easier to consume also). I found a few articles and studies regarding this but this one here seems to hold the most credability with me

    Exclamation

Bro...did you read the thread just a few down? We already had this link about a week ago.

Furthermore, this study SUPPORTS the fact that cooked egg whites are better digested than raw eggs whites.

Not trying to me a jerk on here but snap out of it people. Cooked egg whites are almost twice as digestable as raw egg whites! So if you feel the need to waste eggs then go for it but you are wasting protein you should be consuming.

    LET THE MYTH DIE.

Hell Stallone even admitted in one of his books that cooked egg whites are better. If Rocky recants his story then everyone else should too!!!!

And so everyone understands what is being said in this report...

'The true ileal digestibility of cooked and raw egg protein amounted to 90.9 +/- 0.8 and 51.3 +/- 9.8%, respectively.'

Measures of ileal digestibility (ID) are used routinely as estimates of amino acid (AA) bio-availability...

    Class dismissed.

right all jokes aside, if they are heat pasteurized are they then considered "cooked" in terms of protein availablity?
