    Diet & strength?

I cleaned up my diet over the past couple months. Trying to cut up alittle. My strength seems to be going down hill. I was benching 315 for 9-10reps now I squeeze to get 5 reps. I went from around 193 to 183lbs. I dont mind losing alittle strenght but just want to make sure Im doing this right. I still have plenty of energy not feeling drained or anything. Is this what happens? trade one for the other?

Have you started including cardio and or increase it?

What are your core lifts? For example, when I either cut Cals or increase cardio, my heavy compound lifts (squats, deads, ect) plateau if not decline a bit. However, my other lifts are not impaired as much.

Simple as this: when you lose weight, you lose strength. IMO, the two are def. linked!
