Chicken wings, are they really that bad.

So I'm currently at work and I didn't bring any food and decide to order 3lbs of chicken wings without bbq sauce but with carrots and celery stick. Is this extremely unhealthy?

Its not ideal, nearly as much fat as protein which is never a good thing, I wouldnt eat it daily, or if I was forced to eat it daily then I would remove the skins

I think you already know you could have made a better choice. That said, one time won't hurt, just don't make it a habit. Move on.

No problem, Copurt. I forgot my lunch as well and I am just going to have some ice cream and Little Debbies. You'll be fine.

    Sincerely yours,

Also keep in mind it really is ok to skip a meal now and then. Considering there is a whole method to diet known as Intermittent Fasting, where folks will fast 16 to 20 hours a day, on a regular basis and yet manage to gain muscle and lose fat, then logically if you skip ONE meal, and end up fast for like 6 to 8 hours, you are going to be just fine, and are not going to lose any muscle.

I used to have the attitude that something is always better than nothing, and that I had to eat something all the time, or rapidly lose muscle. This led to obsessive compulsive eating, and an all to convenient excuse to cheat on my nutrition.

The result was I got fat as ****!

Sometimes nothing IS better than just something.

That being said, if the total cals of the chicken fits into your plan, and you are getting in enough protein, its fine.

Sure why not....as long as you follow 500 calories deficit protocol.

u mite wanna do some more reading about nutrition man. i think its ok when bulking (if gaining fat isnt a big concern) and/or every once in awhile using ur logic to deviate from ur regimented, planned diet to be able to enjoy some tasty food but as a RULE and PRACTICE ur thinking is flawed IMO.

BS. Care you explain the science behind such a bold absolute statement? By your logic, tomorrow i'll have nothing but protein shakes (to get that annoying protein macro out of the way) and then fill in my carb and fat macros with cakes, pie, ice cream, etc.

You really think it's just about calories in/calories out? You don't think the composition of those calories has a bearing on body composition, let alone vital functions and general health? This is BB.com type stuff!
