    Question Trt & hcg

    Hi,

I understand the need for HCG and know how good it makes me feel. But with TRT being lifelong, should the HCG be cycled?

    Thanks

Would you cycle off TRT and want to return to a crap T level? Answer is no. When you bodies HPTA was functioning normally (endogenous production) it did not shut down LH production. Low dose HCG is simply effective and healthy for us.

your also might have to adjust your AI dose with the addition of HCG , just throwing that out there. but yes HCG > no HCG

Definitely not. It doesn't take that much. It may spike your E2 a bit but that's all.

While I agree with you completely, you may or may not be surprised how many doctors and clinics are now pushing for cycling TRT. The way they promote it is to say you're coming off in order to give your body a break. They implement PCT's and say this will get your natural production primed again before you begin another course of TRT. If you know nothing of how testosterone works then this all sounds great...testosterone sounds scary to so many so it makes sense to take a break. And most like the sound of "Natural" production. Obviously this is a sales gimmick, one that is actually brilliant from a sales point but absolutely horrific in terms of treatment.

    Thanks for all the info.

I'm on testosterone cyp 125 every 7 days with HCG 250 every 3.5 days.

What i meant was staying on the Test permanently but cycle the HCG - Is this okay or just a waste of time

Yes, it is a waste of time. Kel answered that in post #2 above. There is absolutely no logic to it.

Agreed, my endocrinologist has me on 250mg/ml Sustanon per month. Not broken up at all, just one shot, done.

The frustrating thing is as it's all through the NHS, a second opinion is invalid until they've "finished conducting their analysis"
