    Blood work with low SHBG

I just received some blood work back that was taken the day of my next injection. I currently inject 36mg-38mg E3D subq in the thigh. I haven't been on HCG and currently not on an AI.

I listed a few test scores first that are not in the attachment:

    E2 - 33 (Labcorp)
    SHBG - 11 (13 -71)

I'm wondering if the low SHBG is a reason I'm having such a hard time dialing in my protocol and why Test seems to get metabolized pretty quick. For example, 18 hours after injection my total T was 980 and then the day of injection it's in the high 300s. This was on an E3D routine.

    Thanks.Click image for larger version.

How long have you been on TRT? Normally (not always) TRT will tend to improve low shbg. Read this:

Thanks Kelkel. It's been about 6 months now that I've been on TRT. I started at a pretty low dose of 60mg a week split into 2 shots.

    Thanks for the link.

Great article. It looks like my glucose level and A1c levels could be behind the low SHBG level.

Curious if anybody had low SHBG and what they did to improve the numbers to an acceptable level.

Another question - can I take an AI if my SHBG levels are below normal?

Don't split you shots into two injections; just do one injection per week.

Higher Testosterone peaks will increase SHBG than more linear levels as a result two injections.

Thanks gd. I did feel a little better when I was injecting more test cyp every 3.5 days instead of a little less E3D. So maybe the once a week is the ticket.

For some reason, I was thinking I would need to inject more frequently since my SHBG was low and my Test metabolized pretty fast.

I'm still pretty new at this and learning as I go. Thanks again!
