24 year old - Low Testosterone and Follow-up Blood work

    Test Results 4.4.2013v2.pdf

    Hi all,

I've been reading here fairly extensively, but would love to have your input. Thanks ahead of time for this valuable resource.

    About me:
    24 years old
Been weight training for about 3 years - 2 of them seriously and noticed a lack of progress despite serious efforts. Diet is 80-90% clean and I count calories/macros. Resting heart rate <60, in great health overall.

Went to get T tested for a multitude of reasons, but mainly because I wanted to know if I was just being a pansy in the gym.

I've never had a huge libido, still don't. Always tired - but I figured that this was from training/exercising. No real anxiety, lack confidence only in certain situations. Occasional brain fog. Serious swings between up and down days in terms of "good" overall feeling.

Anyways, went to the doctor (GP).

    Testosterone - 224 Range (241-827 ng/dl) Taken at ~1030am

Referred to an Endo after this

Follow up Blood work can be found in the attachment.
    Summary
    Taken at 8:30am
Testosterone level seems borderline low for a 24 year old - also lab range is much higher than the intial
Free T not so bad, but not great.
LH and FSH also seem low (LH below range).
SHBG is near the top of the range.
    Low T3

Have a follow up appointment but the notes on the test say fine overall.

    What do you guys think?

Your help is greatly appreciated. Feel free to tell me its all in my head etc. I just want to get this figured out.

    Thanks ahead of time!

what did your doc say? Your Free T3 looks to be low and your LH and FSH and low which could indicate pituitary problem

I have an appointment to see him on Wednesday, but on the tests there is a note that says all ok. I just want to be informed when I go see him.

After more research, do you all have any opinions on suggesting a trial of clomid to see if it will boost LH and FSH, thereby increasing T (pretty sure this is how it works)?
