I use 29g 5/8 inch for my shots. If they do make a smaller size then that it isn't really necessary to look for them because you literally feel nothing when it goes in with that size.

The real consideration though is that you need to get all the way through your skin. You want the injection to get under the skin and on top of the fat ... that is why it is called a subQ injection. You do need a needle long enough to get through the skin. You don't want to inject into the fat, or into the skin. That is why we pinch up a small bit of skin and inject into the pocket we create by the pinch.

As already mentioned when you are talking about the 29, 30, and 31 gauge needles, they are just about as painless as it gets. If you are opposed to these, then you can utilize one of the needle-less injection options. Those devices blow a strong stream through the skin and into the subQ region. Pain-wise, they are both completely painless.
interesting..ive never heard of that sounds fancy lol

Good info Redbaron, but really John5 you need to utilize the search feature above as ALL of the questions you've asked thus far have been answered MANY times before.. don't be afraid to use the search and maybe possible stumble across more threads while doing so and learning something new.

Actually I made a mistake with my length. I should have caught on that 5/8 would be longer then a half inch, damn math. It's actually 5/16", so you can get them even smaller and they're not too difficult to find around here, not sure about the states though.
