no carbs near intake of HGH question.

first of all, what is the reasoning behind it? i'm sure it has something to do with your bodies insulin response to the carbs, but i'm just curious as to exactly what kind of problem it causes? also, how long do you have to wait after the HGH shot until you can take in carbs again? just wondering because i eat my breakfast before i leave for work in the am and am trying to figure all this out.

maybe a good idea would be to have my wife wake me for my shot considering she gets up about 1hr before i do, but my only issue with that is by the time i'm finished walking to the kitchen, getting the shot, doing it, etc, that i won't be able to get back to sleep. let me know how you guys work it out?

Small fridge in my room holds some waters and a few "goodies". I usually wake up about 5 or so, take shot, hit bathroom and snooze for another hour or so.

hgh lowers insulin sensitivity. eating carbs too close to hgh injection you will have an elevated bloodsugar level for a prolonged period of time wich can lead to type II diabetes in the long run. wait at least 1 hour..protien and fats are ok

I will typically wake up with consistancy at 4-5 am, so I inject a few IU's at that time ... it is past the time that my body would have given me its big pulse at night (about 2 hours after falling to sleep), but is early enough to put a lot of time between my injection and waking for good, eating my steel-cut oatmeal and the like. When I do take it right when I wake, I will either do my morning cardio and shower before setting down and having a meal, or if I really do need to eat soon after, I have a protein and healthy fat meal.

As already mentioned, the problem is that HGH interferes with the body's ability to uptake glucose. It creates a pretty healthy dose of insulin resistance for a time after injection. The great part about that is that it forces your cells to mobilize and burn fat for that period. The bad news is that if you go ahead and eat an abundance of carbs during that window, you will end up with some pretty impressive blood glucose numbers ... which over time may do some damage, and will at the least cause you to be insulin resistant. In the extreme, you could end up with type II symptoms.

What would be a good rule of thumb to wait between shot and food and how much carb would be ok...... .........thanks

I take my HGH after I work out and drink a myoplex shake with 50 grams of dextrose. So you guys are saying that's not a good thing to do?

Taking ALA is an option if carbs are aeten with GH. Taking slin is another option.

What about eating first and then taking the GH an hour afterwards?

yes thats what there saying. If you must take carbs near GH (before or after) then supp with R-ALA (100mg per 100g carbs at least) and Biotin, or consider using slin (not an option to be taken lightly)
