IGF-1 blood test question
I've been on GH 3iu ed for around 5 months, and about 10 days ago started IGF-1 at 40mcg eod pwo. I didn't notice anything immediately from the IGF-1, and I also hadn't had my IGF-1 level tested since I started the GH, so I had my IGF-1 blood level tested. It came back 504, which is high. But what I don't know is whether that's the result of the IGF-1, the GH, or both.
The reason I say that is, while I know GH can cause elevated IGF-1 levels (though I wouldn't have thought 3iu ed would cause them to be that high), and one would think adminstering IGF-1 directly would too, I remember reading somewhere that IGF-1 blood tests look only for bound IGF-1, and I thought the purpose of LR3 IGF-1 was to keep it unbound and therefore bioavailable. In which case LR3 may not be picked up by the typical IGF-1 blood test, and my blood level wouldn't necessarily mean my IGF-1 was doing anything. Anyone know for sure whether an IGF-1 bloodtest will pick up LR3 IFG-1?
