    slin in fridge?

    my friend is diabetic and he doesnt keep is slin in the fridge just the box that he his not using the pens he keeps outside but far from heat, is this ok?

    It will be fine as long as it's stored at room temp.

    If it's not open, it should be ok out of the fridge. Once you open it, they say no longer than a month or so.

    I do know users that store their opened insulin out of the fridge for months and they claim its still effective, so I don't think it really matters that much as long as its kept out of heat.

    Yeah u can keep it at room temp, if u get it too hot, it starts to separate in the vial and u get this clunky white stuff in the bottle. But yeah, technically u can store it outside the fridge, most pharmacies will keep it in the fridge tho for long term storage.

    The packet that comes in it states 1 month after opening at room temp. I keep mine in the fridge at all times and has remained effective even after 6+ months after being opened.
