does the measurement include what's in the needle?

Today, my father told me that if the syringe read .1 cc's, if you include what is in the needle, you really have 1.5 cc's, and then showed me. So, my question is does the measurement on the slin pin include what is in the needle or just the plastic measuring part of the syringe?

im quiet sure it does not take into account the fluid in the pin too as i use 1ml of back water and need to mix into to pins and they both never come to 0.5 each

the volume in the pin is tiny, but as a rule i always consider the reading on the barrel of the syringe indicates the total volume of the injection.

turns out, the syringe holds .05 cc's. THat is a big difference when using genotropin, because .1 cc's is 3.3 IU's.

i could be wrong but that would mean that 1ml=33iu's of GH.

1 double cartridge of genotropin has 40 IU's, or 13.3 or 13.5mg of hgh (don't have the box infront of me). So it just depends on how much water you add to it. if you just add the water they provide for you, then .1cc's is 3.3 IU's of hgh.

A syringe will take many size needles from .5" to 3", right? I suspect there are even longer needles for adrenalin use in heart attack patients. Each needle will have a differing amount of fluid depending on the length of the needle. So my conclusion is that the consistent readings will come only from the syringe itself without the needle. After having said that, I've used 1.5" 23Ga needle to reconstitute my HGH. When I put 1ml of BSwater (including the fluid in the needle) into the HGH vial and draw out four .25ml HGH solution with slin pins I fill four .25ml amount in the syringe. I don't worry about how much is in the needle because it is inconsequential considering that the .05cc in the needle will be distributed through four slin needles.
