    T4 and blood tests

I was hoping someone could help me out here. I have been running T4 with my HGH. When i got my blood work back i had the following results:

    TSH - .526
    T4 - 4.4 (low) Normal 4.50-12.0
    T3 - 48 (high) Normal 23-39
Free thyroxine index 2.1 Normal 1.2-4.9

Shouldn't my T4 be high if i am taking T4? OR is my T4 getting converted to T3 at a higher rate b/c of HGH?

    Should i up the T4?

    thanks

When you take t4 a certain amount of it is converted to the more active t3 hormone. There are people who have trouble with that conversion of t4 to t3. I am assuming you are taking synthroid ... How many mcgs are you taking?

Yes i was wondering if my T4 was low b/c it was getting converted at a faster rate due to the HGH. I know that HGH causes T4 to be converted more quickly.

    I am taking 100mcg ED

I did have some blood work done prior to starting anything although it was not a detailed and only has tsh:

    Estradiol 55 range 12-56 (HIGN)
    testosterone 497 range 400-1200 (LOW)
    t/shgb 0.6 range .7 to 1.0 (LOW)
    shgb 30 range 15 to 50
    tsh 1.8 range 0.5 to 3.0
    LH 4.7 range 1.0 to 8.4
    IGF-1 304 100 to 300 (HIGH

Now there is some speculation as to whether or not gh affects exogenous thyroid hormone at all. Alot of people say it can affect endogenous production/conversion of thyroid hormone but others think not.

Yep ... T-3 is not only produced by your thyroid , but it is converted from t-4..

Somewhere around 80% of the t-3 comes from the conversion .. This is done by the deiodinase enzyme ...

To the OP.. I agree to stick with what you are doing ( because it is working for you )...
