igf-1 Lvls for a 30 year old male.....
Well i figured you guys here would know more about this then everywhere else on the net from first hand experience. I have been diagnosed with a pituitary tumor that was supposedly non active. Now they are telling me my igf-1 lvls are 680 at age 30 which is high. Do you think a guy could get massive side effects from that difference in igf-1 lvls?

I am so sorry to hear this. I am not clear as to your question. Massive side effects from such a high IGF-1 level as opposed to a level which would be considered normal?

ya im just wondering if that would be massively high in your opinions. Never know I may get something good out of this after all :P. When someone uses hgh artificially what are there lvls usually at? i really dont know how much is excessive, I was a slow grower and spurted up in my early 20's so i'm hoping its just a delayed onset of the reduction on igf-1.

114-492 is the range for a 30 year old male. Yes you are high at 680, but as you mentioned this might be to your benefit. Please hold tight and some vets will chime in as to what they consider to be excessive or not.

Acromegaly normally occurs from a pituitary tumor. There is abnormal amount of growth hormone released which in turn increases the IGF level in the body. Prolong periods of abnormally high IGF levels can cause pronounced forehead and jawline, hand and feet growth, not to mention the overall size of the individual. This growth by itself is probably more inconvenient than dangerous. But along with these visual changes the heart can enlarge, bones degenerate, and bad internal affects can plague the body. If you're 30 and not abnormally large or have acromegaly related side effects, I'm assuming that your tumor is recent? You need to get a professional opinion at this point. If it's serious your health could be affected. It's ironic that most of us spend a lot of money to get our IGF level up. As where you're looking to lower you level. Good luck.

What would a persons igf-1 be at if you were taking hgh artificially for muscle gain? In my case I get the tumor out next week they say i prolly have had it 5 to 10 years

I haven't read anything about the specific level of IGF-1 with those suffering from acromegaly. What's more important is that your IGF level be "normal" from this point on out. Good luck bro.

From my understanding you definately don't want high levels of igf circulating all the time. I'm sure this is different than the disired use of injecting igf. There are some articles about the effects of naturally high levels of igf out there. I will try to find them for you. Best of luck to you.
