Glipizide: Anyone heard of this Inslin release in a tab

Glipizide is used along with diet and exercise, and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glipizide is in a class of medications called sulfonylureas. Glipizide lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently. "GOOD I THINK" ? This medication will only help lower blood sugar in people whose bodies produce insulin naturally. Glipizide is not used to treat type 1 diabetes (condition in which the body does not produce insulin and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood) or diabetic ketoacidosis (a serious condition that may occur if high blood sugar is not treatreated

I Googled it and was wondering if anyone had any factual knowledge and not opinions if you research the 2 you will see what and why I am asking for someone with actual use orr factual knowledge ?

1) Metforim - Helps with absorbsion of Carbs and is filtered through the kidney ! ! !

2) Glipizide - Actually causes the liver to produce more inslin . There is a huge difference ! ! !

Seeking someone with actual knowledge of the drug not opinion !

I Googled the 2 and they are no where close ! I am seeking info from a knowledgable /experienced member that has used or has factual knowledge of the drug. Not just an off the cuff opinion ; thanks anyway.

Since some members of this forum of age not 21 like you use and say inslin is the most anabolic agent you can use not for beginners and I was wondering if this drug would have an anabolic effect on me since I never stop taking Test @ 120 mg a week ? Will it increase the efficency of the Test also? Which would in theory have benificial use besides for Type II Diabetes ?

I know you don't like my opinion, but why wouldn't you just shoot "inslin" (haha). It's 21.50 USD at walmart for 1000ius. Even if you're pinning 100ius per day, it's still really cheap. These tablets tend to be a little more tricky to find and are fairly expensive

lol I'm a Vet they are free ! I am type II not type I man made Insilin would be to hard to monitor or are you a diabetic and have already experienced this 1st hand ? Is it your opinion or do you have facts to back that up Dr. are trying everything to get away from Inslin shots if at all possible .. Ya Know ? I still produce Inslin and therefore not a candiadate for Inslin pen that you just carry in your pocket

I do have kids your age 18 to 22 and one that finally relized he was not so smart after all he is 33 and he thinks I am smart again ? Amazing how wisdom goes with time and you can't learn wisdom in a few years say 16 to 21 , lol !I do know that you are much smarter than me they have all told me so as they are about the same age young as you

Holy ship this drug is strong ! I had my 1st Hypo- glyseminia event in 7 yeaars today and knocked me on my a$$ I ate 3 spoons of sugar and 4 life savers and still passed out . Would you believe my batteries were dead in my glucose meter that I will correct tomorrow ! I was out for the count confussed, disorentinted and slept for 4 hours straight can't remember things and when I hit the bed I did not move from that position for 4 straight hours ?

I am awake now and feel like eating everything in sight any Diabetics out there care to offer advise ? I am 54 and Type II. I would probably have been in a coma if on inslin ? IDK . But got my attention !

I have tons of health issues and TRT has made me feel good but old health issues like vital signs are normal and it could be just a coensidence but a lot of little new issues . This is the first time I have taken this med and actually made me feel better for 2 days ?

Also Dr. told me to back off on protein and I have been eating a base diet of protein for 12 mths straight and hard to even make myself eat carbs which IMHO would counter this event ? I wonder if the increased inslin that the drug states it causes my Pancreas to produce naturally would metabolize these extra carbs I have been avoiding and allow me to eat a few more carbs and not add fat ? Come on guys share you knowledge, a few fact or tags to read would be great ? You don't have to spoon feed me but I am just now coming out of the fog ! ?

lol I swear it is a real insulin producer so just like with injectable Insliun you have to pay close attention to your glucose and it DOES increase Insliun so it has to work close to the same as Pined slin and it is supposed to be extented release so it may be a great compound for all day inslin release and carb digestion + increase the pathway for protein and anabolic receptors IMHO ? that's really strange. I did not know that was even possible!! Just assumed it would be the same as all the other oral diabetic treatments (which are all very similar IMO). Good find!

...Might be time to buy stock in the company that makes this haha

Probably able to acquire on the Internet ? However keep in mind I am type II Diabetic, I do not produce normal amounts of insulin. So if you are not Diabetic this med could be very dangerous due to causing low Glucose in the body ! Unlike pined insulin it is time released so not an Insulin spike and back to normal ! IMHO would not be a very smart drug to experiment with. Going Hypoglycemic is very hard on the body and can cause coma or even death so nothing to play with ? Many other options for healthy people IMHO ?

I've shot 50iu's of 70/30 slin before. But i will definitely be careful if I try this

Aren't you a little young to be experimenting with Insulin if you don't need to; or do you have a terminal illness that says you will die before your 25 ?

Do you know what Insulin does ? Do you also use gear ?

yes i know what insulin does. I've used gear for 4 years. i don't believe slin affects you in the long run
