Hgh gut, but what about insulin gut?

We all know about hgh over time leading to distended gut. Some discussion about the plethora of igf-1 receptors in the intestines leading to more accelerated growth in this area compared with other body tissues. Does insulin alone or with AAS lead to this same problem?

Nobody knows the real answer, as there are no in-vivo studies on the subject for obvious reasons.
But it is likely a combination of factors common to BBers.

But I see no reason why insulin would cause this.

I guess the thought is one can be "ripped", i.e. abs clearly showing definition yet retain large amounts of visceral fat caused by insulin use.

HGH is known to cause visceral fat storage over subcutaneous fat. But I don't think slin does...

sure long term abuse of growth hormone results in acromegaly. everything that can grow will grow.

insulin raises IGF, but im pretty sure the gut has nothing to do with it directly. It probably has more to do with the stuffing of food which follows 40-60 iu per day for a professional bodybuilder. Its food abuse...

No doubt our diets push our guts out lol. Sometimes I have been trim in the morning only to look prego later in day. I dont mean bloating per se either, just all the food.

That is what I was getting at with AAS in first post. If one says IGF receptors are responsible in the gut, then yes hgh is a culprit. But doesnt insulin and/or AAS raise IGF to some extent as well? So, in effect, all of this stuff (or natural training) will enlarge the gut? I dont think this is correct, as I dont see this in the real world; which leads me to believe IGF is not really a culprit, and perhaps hgh directly.

    I agree.

BBers have been using/abusing AAS and pounding retarded amounts of food for decades yet turtle guts only started showing up in the last 15-20 years. Coincidently HGH and insulin are the two newest and biggest supplements in the modern day BBers arsenal.
I don't think the question is IF hgh is the cause of turtle shell but how many IUs does it take to cause it.
Because people respond differently to HGH that number will probably vary per individual.
I used to think Insulin was a factor but now I've heard from enough people that ended up with the shell look and never touched insulin.
I'm convinced the culprit is the combination of Androgens and high(er) doses of HGH.
