    Insulin

    I've read this on a few forums but I want to confirm this or to find out if its bullshit.Does insulin drop shbg dramatically?

    From the studies I browsed after reading this thread, it seems that it does. But the effect will be more pronounced in those who ingest a bunch of sugar every day than someone pinning a few IU of slin after a workout. Consider that it takes about 1iu of slin to balance 10g of ingested glucose, and you'll better understand what I mean.

    Also consider that Insulin works best when used infrequently 2-3X per wk
    the effect on SHBG would be minimal IMO.

    where did you hear that from?I've been looking at a lot of boards and a lot of the pros & amateurs are running everyday with a combination of long lasting lantus & 2 to 3 shots throughout the day of fast acting Humalog/Nolvalog with it. on a 4-6 week cycle.One thing i just read what I've never heard of is people using metformin off cycle to help up insulin sensitivity

    You develop insulin resistance. I used to run slin 5on 2 off and on the off take glucophage (metformin) so I would maintain slin sensitivity.
