Insulin types - 30/70 and GH sides

I’ve been reading through threads on insulin but have yet to find good protocol using 30/70 insulin. I have some on hand and have been waiting to add it to my GH protocol.

A couple months ago I started a GH protocol of 4iu/day, typically in one shot in the AM, preworkout. Got some sides that I didn’t like so I dropped the GH by 1/2, so 2 ius/day in the AM, preworkout. Sides are diminishing... now I’m considering adding slin to the mix to enhance my workouts.

Does anybody have a good protocol for 30/70 insulin (30% fast acting 70% intermediate)?
I normally do fasted cardio after taking GH, but I imagine that would be a bad idea on insulin, right? I’m looking to get some good gains. So I came up with my own protocol that I’m hoping someone with more experience can give their opinion on.

    Here’s what I’m planning:

-Preworkout lifting days - GH 2ius in the AM, along with 4ius of 30/70 slin. (increase up to 8ius if I feel comfortable and have it under control)
-eat plenty of carbs pre and PWO.

-Preworkout cardio days- GH 2ius in AM, no insulin. Fasted cardio.

That’s it, fairly simple to start. My only fear is that the long lasting insulin will continue to effect me into fasted cardio the next day and that would be bad.

Now it’s not uncommon for me to do cardio in the morning and lift in the evening. So I was thinking that if my GH sides go away completely, I would like to jump back up to 4ius/day of GH /day. I was thinking of doing a split routine in that case, 2ius GH in the AM pre cardio, 2ius +slin and heavy carbs in the afternoon pre lift. Does this seem practical or like a decent protocol? Should I just get my hands on the rapid insulin and stick to that so I don’t have to worry about peaks and valleys in blood sugar? Or does anyone have experience with 30/70 and GH?

Last thing, does anyone ever check their blood glucose? I feel like it would be wise to monitor it, at least when starting off to see how things are going. I know diabetic shock sneaks up on people, I’ve witnessed others have some bad reactions and the last thing I want is to fuck myself up.

couple of quick points here first - (when I have more time I'll help you out with a protocol on how to implement this type of insulin, I'm assuming you have your hands on something like Novalin N)

first off .. insulin is NOT a performance enhancer. it will not help you with our workout performance at all. in fact it may hinder performance (some guys get lethargic and tired on insulin .. just like eating a big carb meal and getting sleepy afterwards) .
insulin is going to help enhance RECOVERY from workouts and the driving of nutrients, but not actual physical output or performance..

second off .. using a glucose meter is an absolute MUST (actually you should be using one with your HGH usage as well) . you need to start tracking your fasted and post perennial blood glucose readings BEFORE ever beginning to even use insulin,, that way you know where you stand.
if your post perennial blood glucose 1.5 hours after consuming 50g of carbs from white rice is 120 ngdl , without insulin. thats a baseline.. now if you shoot 10iu of slin with that meal and its now 70 ngdl , you'll know thats too much slin. if you shoot 3iu of slin and its only 115 ngdl , then thats too little slin.

understand your body and get you baseline blood sugars tracked now ahead of time before starting slin.

also the reason why you should be tracking blood sugars with HGH is because HGH is a hyperglycemic compound and plays a big role in glucose metabolism .. you need to know how the HGH is effecting your blood sugar numbers as well.

again, I'll help you out with a protocol when I have time. but for now , go to your local Walmart and pick up a Relion brand blood glucose monitor for only 10$ (make sure to get test strips and lancets) and get to work on tracking your blood sugars.

fasted blood sugar = first thing in the morning before eating a meal
post perennial blood sugar = 1.5 hours after consuming 50g of carbs

Great thanks! I’ve been meaning to get my hands on a meter, I keep forgetting. I’ll pick one up and start monitoring my numbers.

so a simple protocol with that slin is to simply start by taking 5iu with your meal #1 with carbs (which I'm assuming is your pre workout meal).. then take in intra workout nutrition with carbs, and then your post workout meal with carbs . those 3 meals will more then cover the insulin load. eventually you can increase to 10iu..

another option, to help enhance recovery , is to start by taking 5iu post workout with that meal. then be sure that your 2 meals after that one also contain carbs. eventually you can bump it up to 10iu

then as you get more comfortable and know your blood sugar levels well , you can do both options
