    Melanotan II vs PT-141

I have used Melanotan before for the tanning / no sunburn aspect.

My Anti-ageing Doctor prescribed me PT-141 which I read is a derivitive? of Melanotan?

    Any feedback is appreciated.

PT-141, also known as Bremelanotide, is a synthetic peptide that is used to treat sexual dysfunction in men and women. While Viagra and Cialis, which are PDE-5 inhibitors that work to increase blood flow into the penis, PT-141 is a melanocortin, which works at the brain to increase sexual desire. The synthetic peptide blend was developed from Melanotan II, and was originally intended to darken skin pigmentation and induce tanning. However, during the initial testing, patients noted a pleasant side effect – that it caused increased sexual arousal.

Bremelanotide PT-141 is a molecule that binds to and activates the melanocortin receptors associated with skin pigmentation.

Currently, Bremelanotide PT-141 is administered via a subcutaneous injection, ideally where there are fat deposits. The only legitimate form of the peptide is injectable. Oral pills, nasal sprays, and creams have not been shown to be an effective means in which to administer Bremelanotide PT-141.

Given that everyone responds differently to Bremelanotide PT-141, effective dosages may vary. A 2mg dose is generally effective for men and women, about 1 hour prior to sexual activity. Some studies suggest starting with a 1mg test dose and injecting an identical amount 30 minutes later. By consulting your Men’s Health Institute physician, you can receive a cycle protocol best suited for your condition. In studies, some subjects responded to PT-141 in minutes while others took several hours to see the effects.

Bremelanotide PT-141 is a novel treatment option for sexual dysfunction that works in both men and women.

The only two drugs I've heard people use for tanning are Melanotan I and Melanotan II.

Using MT2, I can get my skin very dark within about 5 - 10 days. In less than one month of taking MT2, I'd be able to get my skin dark enough to withstand 35mins on a sunbed (which probably isn't good for me).

I think I used MT1 a few years ago before the second one came out. I had a lot of erections with MT1 and also vivid dreams. Not so much with MT2. The second one is far more effective for tanning.

The longer you take MT2, the more it only works for tanning, and the other effects such as vivid dreams fade away.

Haven't heard any talk at all about Bremelanotide.
