    Scar Creams?

Has anyone had any experience with these?
From what I've heard some of these are just a vitamin E lotion. I've got a scar on my forhead from a car accident when I was younger. It's faded slightly over the years, but It'd be nice to have it not be noticeable at all.

I also use mederma and have been very satisfied with it.

Scars are very dificult to treat, you can try Vit.E and cocoa butter, but when the scar is "fresh".Laser can help, and the last,...plastic surgery.

I heard something about scars and topomax, you can find information on it if you google it, but i am not going to copy and paste it... - not sure if it's warranted or not. topomax is a seisure/ migraine medication that is prescription and there is some beleif it helps to heal old scars- As far as i know there is no concreat evidence.

I will say however i have been on it for migraines in the past for 2 years and i that i have noticed scars get lighter, but whether this is due to time, or the medication, i can not be certain. (It also causes weight loss, which is why i had to get off it).

i've got a 4 inch slice across my face, from superman-ing through a windshield at 40. i noticed that mederma, and kelo-cote (sp?) work very well

but make sure u put sunscreen on whenever you are outside, no joke that will make a huge difference. scar tissue is hard to get rid of, and it burns 10x faster than other tissue. im pasty white usually but if im outside for liek 20 minutes in direct sun without sunscreen it turns dark purple...
