    minoxidil and low test

    can rogaine (minoxidil 5%) cause lower test levels?

    what it does is block the coversion of testosterone to DHT. that may effect libido (i believe only 3% of users report a drop in libido though) also most people say that sperm count decreases (this is evident by the volume of ejaculate). also it can mask true PSA counts. Ive heard it can hinder gains a bit but havent seen any conclusive evidence on this. but to answer just your original question .. NO it doesnt cause low test levels just blocks it from converting to DHT(wich is androgenic )

    Are you certain that these are the effects of Rogaine? Looks like finasteride or dutsasteride. We are talking about topical versus a systematic product. Rogaine should help stimulate hair regrowth rather then stimulating it via reducing DHT levels.

    oh my bad, rogaine specifically does not like propecia does. I think rogaine works topicaly by stimulating the potassium channels in the scalp wich stimulates hair folicles. propecia on the other hand is sometimes perscribed w/ rogaine for its DHT blocking effects. forget my above post i was talkng about propecia.
