    question about sciatica

I hurt my back a few weeks ago doing squats. Well I started having pain in my legs. went to the local primecare. They really found nothing.. Finally I went to the emergency room this past weekend and they did x rays, the doctor really did not find anything out. He said I could have pulled a muscle or tendon which is causing sciatica. he put me on Methylpredisone for 6 days. I am feeling somewhat better, I wonder how long this can last for. I have not really lifted anything since then, I did try one day, but my legs were not feeling great. any suggestions what I should do and how long should I wait to go back to lifting again. any help thanks

this is true I had a hernatid disc ....liked to kill me !!! did it the same way ..your best bet is to get a mri......if u lay on your back and lift your leg c how far up u can go before it hurts...or if u find your self leaning to 1 side or the other when standing is a good sine...get a mri

i was given Methylpredisone for 6 days. I took the last one today... I am going to a Chiropractor ... The pain has gotten less severe, I think I will take this week off, I have been off close to 3 weeks, no sense to rush back, . I go to the Chiropractor on Monday.. hopefully I can get this undercontrol.,.. this does suck,.,,

I went to the Chiropractor yesterday afternoon. He did somethings where he popped my back and it felt good. The he hooked me up to a heat machine. I went and lifted last night worked chest/biceps. I am going back tomorrow for some more treatment. I doubt I have major problems. Just there is something pressing down on my sciatic nerve. Whatever I did it happened doing squats. So I am just working out and taking it slow.. I plan to see the chiropractor again tomorrow. What I am worried about is this may be a reoccuring thing now having a bad back...

it will happen again, but with proper technique, a few chiro visits, and some ice, it will happen less often, last time it happened to me was over 6 years
