    darn body wont co-operate

For years now Ive been having problems with my elbows when i lift. I still remember back when I was in high school the crippling pain I felt in my left elbow when I did shoulder press. Then last year again intense pain in my left elbow whenever i did dumbell press, took a few weeks off and now recently its bothering me again. Only this time its in both my elbows, the right elbow being the worst. Plus I have an intense pain in my forearm whenever I put a weight down or carry something then release.

The pain gets so bad that I actually stop mid workout. Decided to take some time off (overdue) and 2 days ago I went to go see the orthopedic surgeon that I have been going to for years. He believes that it is the fatty padding around my elbows (or something along those lines) and that the pain in my forearm is just a further result of the elbow problem. Im going for x-rays and a sonar later today. But they have pretty much alreasy told me that Im gonna be getting a cortazone shot, which I dont really want.

I dont want the pain to be numbed I need to find out why this is happening and how to remedy and prevent it Any similar experiences anyone? or any advice?

Kay i went for a sonar. Doc says she cant see anything wrong with the anatomy of my elbow and therefore doesnt wanna give me any cortisone. going for x rays monday hopefully, maybe more will be revealed. But in the meantime I have been taking some pretty good joint repair meds as well as anti-inflammatories and I must say the pain has really subsided. Gonna give it a bit more time to rest though
