Contact Lens Peeps Come Inside!
I need to get my eyes checked again. I hate wearing contacts but I hate glasses even more and lazer surgery is not in my budget at this time. I was wondering what you guys are using, I have sensitive and dry eyes and usually have to wear different contacts than most. However I have not wore contacts in a few years and have no idea what is out.

I use eyeglasses once in a while, specially when driving!

I have very dry eyes and use contacts. I LOVE the "Focus Dailies" they are a single day use contact. Not only are they easy (you never have to clean them) but it turns out that a lot of the irritation that comes from contact lens is from them not being clean enough.
To save on money, i actually know a number of people that will use the Dalies for two day, then toss them (which also works well).
best of luck...

I hate glasses and contacts as well. My older sister got the eye surg done and it was the best thing she said she has ever done. However her eyes need to have sun glasses on outside due to glare.

There are so many different contacts available on the market right now. dDepending on your RX and Base Curve and Diameter of your eye, your Eye Care Professional should be able to give you many options. I work for an Optometrist and he prefers to prescribe the Ciba Air Optix 30 day lenses to his patient that can wear them. It's the next best thing out there next to Lasik. You put the lenses in on the 1st of the month and take them out on the 30th.

I wish it was that easy. If you currently wear contacts, then no problem. If you don't then, you'll need a Contact lens evaluation, a contact lens fitting and a contact lens training. Fee's for this can run into the hundreds of dollars, or you could Photoshop the pictures for less.

If dry eyes is an issue run a wash cloth under hot water. As hot as you can stand but use common sense. The with the heels of your hands rub the cloth against yor eyes until it cools off. For the first week do this 4 times a day then week two 3 times a day. Week three 2, then 1 time a day week for and every day there after. It will open up any areas clogged by contact use. And if you use antihistamine/decongestant medications, antidepressants, diuretics or beta blockers this can cause dry eyes as well. Hope this helps.
