Of course you can't work out, if you're talking about running or anything that will slow down the healing process. I would NOT use the elliptical, you will still enflame the hell out of it.

Honestly, you need to see a doctor, or physio and get an expert opinion on what you can and can't do, no one here is qualified to tell you.

This is like the guy who want to workout when they're sick, no, you're not being hardcore you're being an idiot. All you're doing is prolonging your illness, further inhibiting your training.

    See a doctor man.

Thank you for your concern. I went to the hospital and they put me in an extremely comfy removable air cast and they said I could still lift just can't do squats or leg presses or deadlifts, or really anything that puts allot of pressure on my foot, I went yesterday for back day and I was fine and I couldn't run but I used this thing that's like a cross between and elyptical and a stair stepper, felt great!

Np mate and glad to hear you're ok. When I was younger I would often let my ego get in the way and keep lifting even when I had minor nagging injuries and it was a bad choice EVERY time.

Glad you can still a good range of things pain free, stick at it bro.

I just healed up some ankle damage from a botched landing during a day jump. Was in the walking boot for a while and it sucks. Sorry you're injured.

So what i did was drive to the lap pool a few times a week and swim 1500meters basically dragging my right foot behind me. Made me work harder but burned more calories. Just an idea.

As far as lifting goes, lift just don't put any weight on your foot. Let it heal. I still did bench, military presses, seated curls, seated tri presses, lat pulls, t-bar rows, abs, forearms, just get creative. I hated this part but went lighter overall. Don't let it mess with your head.

    You'll heal.

    Best of luck.
