No good
Hey everyone,
There was a post here earlier this year about a injury regarding my wrist. Anyway it seems that my wrist
has gotten worst overtime even with my wrist brace.
I have gone to the doctors demanding to know what is wrong.
The doc had given me referrals for the x-ray and ultrasound.
I then undertook these, and was also sent to the physio afterwards.
Now the physio claims it could be Triangular fibrocartilage tear.
I have to go see a hand specialist in about 4 months (i know public health system is appauling) but, the physio
claims it can't hurt to do light, doc has said to not do anything at all.
What you use reckon?
I have found I am drinking(alcohol obviously) now on the weekends because I am
depressed a little not being able to train. I am thinking I don't wanna
lose what I have trained so hard for. The least I could do is keep my diet
right which I have been really trying to do. Also cardio.
What's my best option?
Ill wrap it up with that any opinions would be great.

For what it is worth, in my youth when i trained seriously i let pain be the guide (when i got old enough to decide objectively). Sometimes dropping 50-75% of the weight and go to definition workouts of low weight high reps will keep you toned and ready to go when they get it fixed. Just keep the pain at zip...you don;t want to make a bad situation worse. I always taped my wrists into many casts anyway. Definitely stay with cardio....otherwise you'll miss the fairer sex and their workouts.

Light weights if you can, you don't want to go heavy and make it much worse.
I had a problem with my shoulder for a good 2 months, it sucked, and I had to stay light, but eventually when you're able to hit the weights hard the wait will be worth it.

Yeah I have to really take into account how I am going to weave myself back into
the gym without making it worse, let alone permanent.
Light weight higher reps does sound like a good idea I will def keep that in mind
whiteowl, yeah 2 months is awfully short for a shoulder injury though must not of been bad.

Kiki probably backed off as soon as he knew he had a strain or light tear so it healed quickly.
When we wicked trained, i heard the body will produce endorphins, a natural "opiate" to relieve the stress on the body. I think alot of us..you included Boz probably got used to that as the reward for ripping it up. May be why your attitude has slipped as well.
Stay light and stay healthy mate
