Any issues with using a pulled muscle?
Okay long story short:
I have a pulled muscle in my forearm, happened about a week ago. No swelling, no general pain, but when I use the arm to lift something there is a very noticeable pain in an isolated muscle in my forearm.
I have been lifting with it same as usual the last week, and I don't notice any grip deficiencies but it does hurt after the work out and gets fairly tight.
Any potential damage I can do by continuing to lift heavy? I mean its not killing me, and I don't feel like not lifting, its just a minor nuisance but I don't want it to turn into anything more.
Power through?

Seek medical advise, if you say it hurts when you train don't use it.
Beleive me with my damn back pain i have train when i should not have. I got my treatments rested and now i am ok.

This is an old thread, but I'll post anyways... I had the same thing in my forearm. Against the advice of others, I powered through. It got worse. I should have rehabbed it early on and rested it. It's been six weeks since I can do any serious curling. Lightly tested the waters yesterday by two arm curling 70 lbs. three sets of ten, just to warm things up. Still there. I may keep it at 70lbs for the next few weeks, don't want to push it.

nobody likes to hear "seek medical attention" or "stop working out" when they post stuff like this, but it's really the best way to go if you're not sure. generally speaking, you CAN work through "minor" pulls, but it usually just prolongs the injury anyhow.
