Have you tried putting a spoon in the freezer for aout 15 minutes then holding it on your eye till the spoon gets warm? I know how you feel as I have worked 3rd shift for many years and the lack of sleep can be a real mother. The best cure for the black eyes would be to get some solid sleep. I feel for you with the insomnia so I would see your doctor and get a sleep aid as this is what I had to do. Also I inject my MTII at bedtime so I sleep through the sides from it. But if I were you I would get presribed some ambian extended release. Do not get the regular ambian if you have insomnia because it will only knock you out for four hours. The extended release lasts longer.
