Question Odd pain I've never had

Past 2 days I have had weird soreness and pain on the fatty part of my love handles on my left and right side. I rub there and it hurts.
I've never had a pain like this in this peculiar spot. I've recently lost weight and am working hard to rid myself of visceral fat at the moment.
Anybody ever have a pain like this? Is there even pain associated with fat loss or fat gain?

Kidney issues maybe? Is the pain low and to the rear of your love handles?

I thought that too, maybe love handles was a bad term, but if you could imagine a spare tire on the direct left and right sides, after feeling, slightly forward as opposed to directly on the sides dead center. (Sorry if I'm sounding confusing)

Slightly forward is where the obliques come in. Did you do any ab work before it started? Outside of it being DOMS I'm at a loss. Maybe see a doc if it gets worse or doesn't start tapering off soon.

No ab work. Guess that's what I should do, just wait if it stops and if not, hit the docs. I just tried some oblique work and doesn't feel any different, worse or better. Only when I pinch the skin.
