You'd really have to be more specific. Pec-delt tie in area? Lat attachment?

Simple rule. If it hurts, stop doing it. Most cases you can work around a minor impingement and do just fine while it heals. Don't keep aggravating it!

I seem to be agreeing with everyone here lately.

If it hurts, then modify your routine until the pain goes away.

    1) Reduce the weight
    2) Switch to dumbells or a machine
    3) Do not go all the way to the sternum

...working through the pain is not adviseable. The pain is trying to tell you something. Pay attention to your body "talking" to you.

Ice it, and stop using it.
This is why I don' like bench.... how many people complain of injuries related to dumbells? I never hear of any, and you can get away without a spot.. and your arms aren't tracking in the same motion through the whole press.
I know people love bench, I just never enjoyed it :/

actually sounds like a minor pec tear....could take several months to heal correctly.
