What is the best supplement for chronic knee/quadricep tendonitis???
I've tried glucosamine/chondroitan (for over a month), didn't help. Have done rehab, RICE all that. Still anytime I run, jump or lift heavy, tendonitis above knee caps and lower quad flares up. Anyone have ideas for supplement or anything else which may help? I'm also open to deca etc. too if that would help.
Thanks

Sport doctor highly recommends this as well, dosage are from 3g to 6g per day. He as seen some very positive results with this. I have arthritis in the neck C7 and D4 , he gave me a cortisone shot and told me that at my age 38 i can control the inflammation with fish oil. I bought the ON brand you get so much for your $$$ like 200 caps for 11$.

Tablets are 1g each, i also take Universal Animal Flex for joint you got another 1g of flax oil in there. And i just bought some type 2 collagen. Also read studies that low carb diet can do wonders for arthritis and joint rebuilding. Still not sure if i should beleive that or not. Inflammation in the body.

Try doing 5-6g/day of fish oil, or 1800mg total omega3 (same thing). Also look at usplabs supercissus rx...more concentrated than most. NutraPlanet has it in powder form too but it tastes like crap.

There are people that take even more than 6g/day for years without any issues. The only main adverse effect you would possibly run in to would be diarrhea, which for the average person usually takes much more than 10g/day.

Another vote for Cissus.

I've been as high as approximately 40 grams per day personally. I always consume it with an equal amount of lecithin, so digestive issues don't manifest.
Should they, you can supplement with a lipase product.
10 grams per day is a pretty sweet dose though... 2 grams w/ most meals at the very least.

There are lot of benefits to megadosing (in my humble opinion), so honestly I don't see a reason to cease administration of fish oil (well unless you had a pending surgery... or was otherwise prescribed blood-thinning agents).
You could, however, lower the dose a month or so after inflammation reaches a tolerable level.
