    Gaining Mass

    Hey Guys -

    Thanks for all the info I've read on here.

    I'm completely new to this. I got very sick a few months ago and lost about 20% of my body mass, which was very hard to put on the first place since for years I was a runner and still have that fast metabolism. My doc suggested and I agreed to go on Deca . I go in every 2 weeks and get 250mg injected. I started seeing slow but very noticeable gains immediately in tone. About a month into it, I asked a buddy for help and we added 200mg of testa Cypionate to the mix. Now I'm definitely seeing significant gains in terms of tone.

    However, I'm still not really gaining body mass. About 2 months into this I'm up about 8 pounds. What should I do to increase this? Maybe increase my dosages -- or add something different? I am eating like CRAZY as I read I should.

    And regarding workouts -- How much time do I need to be doing in the gym to increase and at least sustain my gains? I work out boxing style (just how I was trained), fast-moving circuit style. Should I switch to more standard BB 3 sets back to back?

    WOW! your doc prescribed deca and NO test! Just shows how incompetent some of these quacks are!!
    If you want to gain, then boxing style is not right. That has an emphasis on cardio. If you want to grow, then you should do it the right way and hit the weights.

    Go to the nutrition section and post your diet. Gbrice et al. will give some helpful insight on what to do to fine tune. When you do this, include your macros per meal and macros per day. Also include your TDEE so we can bench mark against it.

    Do NOT increase your deca/test doses! For now, leave them alone and just focus on diet and exercise. Join a gym if you haven't done so already, like Golds or 24hour or one of those that specialize in weight lifting.

    follow-up

    Thanks for your advice. I've stuck with the low-dose deca the doc gives me and kept up with my buddy's Test-C. We increased my dose of that about two months ago. I've gained about 22 pounds in total over the past 6 months which is respectible but more than anything I have incredible tone. Thanks for your tips!! In a month or two may try something more adventurous.
