    Older guys livers

Read a post from a fellow member that led me to this so I did a liver panel in my most recent BW. BTW, thank you to that member - this is such an amazing place to learn from each other. Regrettably I personally don't have previous numbers from the past to compare to, so this is brand new territory for me.

Bilirubin & AST just north of high, ALT getting there. I am 57 and drink quite a bit of wine every night, so that should be the main culprit and I am not trying to rationalize that in any way.

However, intense exercise can elevate them all as well. I'm curious if any of you have tracked your numbers? I ask because I've admired how fastidious you all are regarding your BW. Thanks guys!

My numbers are always slightly elevated, and I rarely imbibe. I track everything. Are you taking NAC, UDCA or TUDCA Prox?

Gonna try NAC & Tumeric (really liked what I read about it). Thanks Kel, know you pitched into the thread I mentioned above. I will try to cut back, but wonder if our livers start to show different numbers as we age, particularly with TRT and/or cycles.

BTW, thanks for your and Mr. BB's insight in that other thread. I'm still sorting through UDCA vs TUDCA, plus I read with TUDCA, it's worse for your liver if alcohol is still used. I can/will drop my alcohol intake, but can't see going cold turkey as a reality.

Everything changes over time so odds are, yes. Just like with TRT, protocols have to be tweaked over time due to how our bodies change. For example, you may not need adex for years, then suddenly you will.

For the most part, liver function doesn't predictably decrease as we age (unlike the kidneys, heart, lungs, etc). It's just a question of what you've subjected it to.

Completely agreed. But unless we all live in some sort of protective bubble, with age, we've all subjected our livers to something. Because of that, just wanted to know if our numbers should naturally climb and if other members have found this with BW.

Would also be curious what changes members have found when on vs. off cycle.
