Purpose of using Clomid and nolvadex together?

The more articles about PCT i read, the more i note that only one SERM is usually advised as a PCT. So basically, nolva-only PCT or clomid-only PCT. And nolva is generally regarded as a better option. What's the point of using both of these compound on PCT? don't get me wrong, i've always been a fan of the whole "nolva+clomid" rule, but my latest researches brought up this question by itself

Nolva by itself works.

However Clomid stimulates the the Pituitary in a different manner, binding to different tissues. I also believe Clomid is faster acting than Nolva in stimulating LH.
Nolva can be run a week or 2 past Clomid to prevent estrogen rebound.

There definitely is a synergy between the 2, but if I´m gonna chose 1 only, it would be Nolva.

I have also had great results with Toremifene by itself, however long term use (2 months+) eventually, I believe, desensitized my Hypothalamus.
