    is this water weight?

okay... so as i've been told to do...
i've been running first thing in the morning on an empty stomach..

this morning when i got to the gym, i weighed myself, weighing in at 246 lbs..
i did a good 40 minutes of cardio and reached my target heartrate from the machine (131), and then i weighed myself again, weighing in at 251.

what happened? did i really drink 5 lbs of water?

come on now.. think about what could be different. clothes, shoes, you ate a meal, you stood on the scale different than normal, the scale got knocked out of calibration.....

i'm just as surprised to see that myself.
right when i went into the gym, i checked in, blah blah blah....
went upstairs, took off my shoes, got onto the scale, weighed myself, put my shoes back on, did my cardio, went back to the scale, took off my shoes, and lo and behold i gained weight.

i always have my buddy weigh me so i don't move and cause a misread in weight... he was surprised too.

anyway.. we'll see if this happens tomorrow.
i just got clen in and i will be starting my cycle so hopefully this helps with water weight and bf and whatnot!

    something doesn't check out.

Assume you lost about 1 liter of water during cardio. 1L = 1kg =2.2 lbs. To go up a net 7.2 lbs you'd have had to drink about 3 and 1/3 liters of water during in between the two weigh ins.

I am much more inclined to believe some variability in the weighing technique or apparatus.

as much as i want to believe the last statement as well, it happened again.
and it's not just me. it's my partner as well.

he went up .5 lbs, and i went up a full lb.
this is from 20 minutes of elliptical (190+strides per minute) and 20 minutes of bicycle (100+rpm) and 1 mile of running.

i only drank about 3-4 water bottles worth, and i doubt that's remotely close to even 1 liter.

oh, and this is with the start of my clen cycle as well.

a pound or .5 lb variation is no big deal. 8 lbs is and should be double checked.

Are you weighing yourself in your undies or butt-naked (thats how you should be doing it)?....If your weighing yourself with clothes on, it might just be the sweat weighing down your clothes....regardless you arent gaining weight from doing cardio or even retaining water for that matter, so just stop getting on the scale after your cardio, who cares....Just weigh yourself once in the morning in your drawers before cardio and leave it at that. Use that number for your comparisons. You shouldnt weight yourself everyday anyways, once a week is fine, to many variables to get an accurate weight every single day.....Annnnnd for that matter, you shouldnt be that worried about the scale to begin with, worry about body fat and how you look in the mirror, take pics to check progress.

If you weigh yourself at the "Start" and "End" of the week you will weigh yourself twice in 2 days!!!
Same with the body fat because; Week Begin = Monday
    Week End = Sunday

    The best tt
hing to do is as said before, weigh your self once a week maybe once evry two weeks on the same day at the same time(best to do it in the morning, butt naked)
If you do it once evry 2 weeks you will see a larger weight loss, and there for giving you a confidence boost and motivation

    Just a thought

    Like a young me.

Stop worrying so much about the numbers. Weight yourself once a week if that.

It's not how much you weight, it's how does your cloths feel?
