10 sets of 6 reps on each excersize. So you do 3 excersises of 10 sets of each-that is a bit to much.
Both works just switch it up from time to time. And keep the intensity high,its the most important.

I like to do different range of reps to stimulate more kinds of fibres. But at the moment; i like changing routine every two months or so.
In any case i agree with omna82 that intensity is the key.

the best to gain size is by periodically switching up rep ranges staying consisten with a higher rep range for a period of time.. then switching it to a lower rep range to hit different muscle fibers, allowing for maximum growth... sticking in 1 rep range forever will only push you backward
a have worked on a 12,10,8,6 for nearly a year so should a defo drop that and start doing mabey 4 ten's for a couple month?

I wouldn't go under 6 reps for optimal muscle grow. For strength it's another thing...
