I use the HCL. No complaints.
The micronized will absorb better, but for all intensive purposes, they're all the same.
Any thoughts on kre alkalyn?
Micronized Creatine Monohydrate is the best Creatine for your money, if not the best in general.
I have used Kre-Alkalyn in the past, it doesn't really do what it claims to do at the suggested dose. At least didn't do it for me.
ON produces the best Micronized Creatine Monohydrate IMO and its fairly cheap.
Mono is the best for me, none of the others did anything.
FYI, I have been on ON Micronized Creatine Mono-hydrate for 3 years without a break.
I take 5-6gr ED with plenty of water and I just received my blood & urine test results along with ultrasound results, my kidneys are apparently doing fine, absolutely no issues were found.
I drink 1.5 gallons of water ED, do cardio 5 times a week and hardly ever consume alcohol. I also don't cycle oral AAS, if it helps.
double post

Plain old mono for me too.
I hold more water on regular mono compared to micronized!
Op, read this:

Monohydrate. All the hype about this and that new creatine ester and it always ends up coming back to good old monohydrate is the best.
Ive used kre-alkalyn. In my opinion regular ol monohydrate is better like turkish said it doesnt do what the company claims at the suggested dose. My body weight is a lil bit over 215 and found myself taking double the dosage before i got the effects of regular mono. As far as the whole ph bull shit goes there is a group of guys on youtube that studies and explains that kre-alkalyn actually breaks down into creatinine more then regular ol mono.

I've used Both the Mono and HCL, I found HCL to work much better for myself personally. Mono I didnt notice a different in strength or recovery but everyones body is different, kind of have to test it out yourself.
Just read this months "Men's Health Magazine" and it stated from studies that Monohydrate is just as good as all the other "expensive" micronized forms and to save your money as it performs the same as the expensive form.
They don't site sources but I've been reading this magazine for years and it's straight up.
In other words...save your money and go with the Mono.
At any rate, micronized creatine powders are hardly expensive in our day.
They mix better and faster, absorption rate is probably a bit higher due to the very nature of micronization technology.
I wait for my favorite brand of Micronized Creatine Mono to go on sale and then stock up, it hardly costs anything when you calculate your daily use on a gr basis.
micro mono for me, havnt used it in a long time. but when i did try others it was not the same.
I've used Mono, optimum's pre load, creature, green mag, con cret, and kre-alk and I though green mag (creatine magnesium chelate) worked the best. They all worked for me. I felt less bloated on con-cret but did not notice any strong advantages over the others other than it actually dissolves completely and tastes decent
